International consortium “Saint-Petersburg Cleantech Cluster for Urban Environment” successfully held a foresight session “Strategies and Best Cluster Practices for Transition to a Circular Economy for Sustainable Urban Development”. The session included speakers from Russia, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Japan, Kazakhstan and Norway.
At the end of the session, the parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to institutionalize the flagship project “Sustainable Development Cluster 2030”. The Cluster will combine best sustainable development and circular economy practices within the ENI CBC Programmes and the INTERREG BSR Programme 2014-2020. Currently, the total amount of EU-Russia co-funding for INTERREG projects is over EUR 97 mln, of which EUR 23.12 mln account for the projects involving the Consortium members.
