Universities in developed countries have become the main drivers of urban, regional and even national development due to the concentration of human capital and R&D infrastructure, high reputation in the financial market and their close involvement in the implementation of urban development projects. Understanding the universities’ importance, local and regional authorities create special conditions for their development and implement projects to expand campuses.

The round table will discuss the impact of the national projects “Science” and “Education” on urban and regional development, the possibilities for bringing together business, higher education institutions and regional governments to develop the innovative specialization, etc.
