Against the background of global climate change, changes in mobility and technological innovations, cities and regions face the challenge of systemic transformation in the areas of transportation, energy, housing, etc. The transformation management approach requires joint efforts of a wide range of stakeholders to make major change, not fragmentary improvements. This is a management tool for developing the transformative potential of “change leaders” and building future-oriented relationships. Cities and countries should both develop their own transformative paths and cooperate with each other.
Topics to be discussed:
- The applicability of transformation management for different sectors and in different countries;
- Germany’s experience in implementing the Programme “City of the Future”;
- Transformation paths towards green transportation;
- International cooperation for sustainable development of the cities and regions of Russia.
