International Cooperation for Regional Development

Summary

XII round table "International cooperation for regional development" continues its traditional work on the highlighting challenges, discussion and promotion of international regional development and strategic territorial planning goals based on the experience of near and far abroad. “What are we doing to improve the quality of people’s life?” is a key bounding topic of the session, representing a variety of approaches and exchange of views in three thematic rounds:
- Round one: cross-border cooperation issues
- Round two: sustainability
- Third round: territorial / regional planning
Leading experts from Europe (Germany, Finland, Greece, Belgium, Romania), Africa and other countries will present their ideas and best practices in the context of session agenda, and the main theme of the round table "Quality of Life" in the social, cultural, ecological of economic, economic areas. For the first time the session will be attended not only by individual speakers, but by a delegation of the Assembly of European Regions, as well as the delegation of the region Iasi (Romania). Leading experts from Russia and the CIS countries will also share their experiences and results during the session. The round table will also provide an opportunity to establish direct networking and experience exchange on the declared topics between foreign experts and the Russian participants.
