New Urban Mobility Development Prospects: How to Ensure Safety, Efficiency and Multimodality

Summary

As the urbanization unfolds further, new IT solutions for transport have a significant impact on urban mobility and on the spread of new mobility trends and services.
This, in turn, brings both new expectations and challenges which need to be tackled to create efficient and safe multimodal urban transportation systems.
Topics to be discussed:
- road safety for cyclists and personal mobility vehicles;
- planning and design of dedicated cycle infrastructure;
- personal electric vehicles and their safety;
- cycling tourism;
- modelling methods for non-motorized transportation modes and infrastructure design, etc.
