Communication Formats and Practices of Network Communities Involvement in the Strategic Planning Process

Summary

By “network communities” we mean any communities whose members interact with each other in line with the principles of networking.
Both the expert community and the authorities recognize the importance of network communities involvement in the strategic planning process. However, in Russia this involvement traditionally faces a number of challenges caused by superficial and formal approach, as well as by archaic communication formats.
Topics to be discussed:
- Typology of communication formats of network communities involvement in the strategic planning process.
- Which formats are the best? In which cases should several formats be combined?
- What are the main barriers to the implementation of best practices and communication formats of network communities involvement in the strategic planning process and how to overcome them?
The panelists – federal, regional and local government officials, representatives of civil society and experts – will discuss existing communication formats of network communities involvement in the strategic planning process, try to identify the most efficient practices and provide recommendations for their implementation.
