Creating a Livable Urban Environment and Green Infrastructure as a Tool for Sustainable Urban Development

Summary

Public spaces and urban greenery are the most important investments the authorities make to improve the quality of life for city dwellers. Parks and gardens define a city’s appearance making it a nice place to live, where residents feel their connection to the city. A livable urban environment is a quality standard required for big cities. New public spaces and revived green areas become part of the overall network, continue historical traditions and boost the development of city areas.
